Week 99 Email

Bonjour tout le monde! Wow another week has flown by just like that. But we had lots to do this week so let hop into it.

The biggest highlight from this past week had to be Zone Conference. I think that it is always something really cool to be able to sit and just learn together with the rest of the missionaries in the zone. And the Cococodji Zone is the best zone of the entire mission so I count myself lucky to be able to hear from those other Elders and Sisters. We spent a lot of time focusing on how we can really help our amis, that we are teacing or just newly finding, come to understand the lessons and the gospel that we are here to teach. I really loved how the zone leaders focused on that principle by doing a cool demonstration with a sweater (send me an email if you want to know the details ;) I was also invited to testify this time around since I am at the end of my mission... already. I can't believe how fast this time has really gone by. Some days I still think that I am at the beginning trying to get the hang of things here but I am at the final countdown already. Testifying was cool but it was also really hard, I don't really know how to sum up amost 2 years of a spiritual building into 3-5 minutes. I tried and that's what's important right?

For the rest of the week Elder Okyere and I went off when it came to the work! We were able to go and focus on what it is that the Lord needed from us. I was able to really see how much guidance we have every day. Though one day we did end up gettin glost and went wayyyy out of our sector. Thankfully Google Maps exists, saldy they didn't do a very good job of mapping out our route haha.

The rainy season is upon us here in Benin too. I don't think that I am going to be around for this one fully but it sure is coming. Benin and Togo are very different for the rain too. Here in Benin whenever it rains they cut the power so then it gets really hot even with the drop in temperature. In Togo you still have fans so it feels nice and confortable haha. But this past week we got stuck in a situation where we didn't know if we could go out so we did and it ended up raining really hard, so we found the nearest little coverage and 'hid' from the rain there. It lasted for about 20 minutes and then we went really quickly back to the apartment, but not before grabbing lunch haha.

Not much else to say this week, sorry. Next week I will try and keep a better track of what is going on haha.

Je vous aime tous!!!
