His day in the temple
Covid is still placing restrictions on some things around here and the temple is still one of them. That didn't stop us from having a special day with Christian as he took out his own endowment. He chose to go through the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. Mainly because you can only go through the temple that is assigned to your ward currently but also because I think he is most comfortable there.
Christian chose Tyler to be his escort and had invited both Grandma and Gary to join us as well. Gary was under the weather or had some sort of doctor appointment and so he was unable to be there but Grandma was and it was good to spend the couple of hours with her.
Christian didn't have many questions going into today and as always, I will be here with open ears to discuss anything perhaps now that he has had this experience. When we were at lunch Tyler asked him if he had any questions and he replied that he was confused on Heavenly Father being called Elohim because he learned in seminary that that was a name for Jesus. Good learning and hopeful that learning continues here on out.

It was so good to be inside the walls of the temple again. I feel a little spoiled in that I have had the opportunity to be inside now twice during Covid when so many just long to have the opportunity. It was nice to take concerns and cares that I was having to the Lord inside His house and to be able to watch and participate as one more of my kids chose to make covenants with their Heavenly Father.
Today was a good day and one I hope to never forget. Memories made that will be engraved upon my heart for the rest of my life and into the eternities. I am so proud of you Christian and for the choice you have made to take out your own temple endowment. Always strive to be a current temple recommend holder and go back to the temple regularly. The blessings that await you from being inside are priceless.
xoxo,
Mom
