Subject: Sunday. And sunshine yay!

Hi!
Happy Sunday. How are you? How was this week? What kind of work did you guys do and how did those efforts work out? Were you able to find some new amis to add to your roster to work with? How are things ticking with the Elders in your apartment?

This week has been good around here. We have been busy enjoying the sunshine FINALLY!!! We even spent some time in the pool yesterday. Poor B got so fried and had to do the burn to brown treatment last night but she is excited about going out again today to even out what she got yesterday. She never flipped over so just the front side of her body got sunshine. :)

Tyler and I have been working hard in the yard. We ripped out some dead trees and plants in the backyard and replaced those with new stuff. We also made some changes in the front yard and ripped out the strip on the driveway and replaced it with some new stuff. It will add some height and it will look so great when and/or if it grows in. Ha. The trick of trying to grow anything in Herriman remains. I lost all of my day lily plants around the water feature last year too so I needed to find something to replace them. Tyler and I spent probably 3 hours at the nursery on Friday trying to decide what all we wanted to bring home to do all of this. I hope (fingers crossed hope) that it will all grow out and fill in like we are hoping it will.

Kaitlyn and Eric stopped by to finish stuffing the envelopes for their wedding and Eric said your car is done. Yay!! He said it turned out really good and he is excited for you to have it when you get home. We paid him for it and so your final cost out of your bank account was $4000. You will need to register it in your name when you get home and get insurance but overall, yay for it being done and ready. I know Eric spent a lot of extra time on it making sure it is better than 100% but I also know he will always be available if you need something too. He is a pretty good egg.

The pool tile broke again over the winter (ugh…) so I think today after church we will head out and Tyler will work on getting that repaired. We need to save up some money and just have the tile ripped out and have the whole thing re-done with tile that won’t do what ours is doing. It’s frustrating but lesson learned. I just wish Banning would have said something in the beginning but I also wonder if he even had a clue you know?

We look to have good weather this week. It’s warming up and the snow is melting. We have flooding at Rosecrest Park and I am sure in other parts of the state too. We just haven’t kept an eye on things other than the cabin. We see the park when we drive but you know what I mean. The river at the cabin is running high but they are draining Smith & Morehouse to prepare for the snow melt. Tyler got up and got some sand bagging done on the stairs and we need to go get some done on the corner by the trampoline but for now at least the stairs are done to keep any water that could potentially come up that way would be blocked and not allowed to come towards the cabin.

All in all, another week done and one more behind us. And for you too. Crazy!! I hope you’ve had a good week and that you have had a good Sunday too. I love love you.

Talk to you soon,
Mom
