Subject: A week of transfers
Bonjour tout le monde! Sorry for not writing anything last week haha. We had transfers and mine happened a day early because we were so far up in Dassa.
A few weeks ago
Elder Kayembe and I were chillin out in sector and we got a call from
President Proudfoot saying that they would be coming to our sector to
stop and say hey and then continue on to Parakou. We were like "oh cool"
haha. As we headed back from all the way in Timbuktu of Dassa to our
apartment and got there just 2 minutes after they did. They were headed
up with the other Elders to Parakou to open up the sector and since
Dassa is about the halfway point they stopped there to take a quick
break before continuing. And then we got the news that I would be
leaving and President told me to get my bags ready starting the day
(Saturday) so that I could be ready to leave Dassa on Monday morning.
Elder Kayembe and I spent the rest of the day and all of Sunday working
hard and visiting members and such. I'm going to miss that little
village, especially because now I'm in the city haha.
On
Monday we headed down to Cotonou but made a quick pitstop in Bohicon to
snag Elder Temanaha and drop Elder Kayembe and then headed alllllll the
way down to Agla. We chilled the night there and then Tuesday morning I
arranged my things in my new home for at least the next 6 weeks.
The
rest of the week was all a blur for me. It's weird being in the city
compared to being in the village. My whole mission has been far away
from everyone and in different languages other than French but now I'm
in the city and it's all French haha. Even the little kids speak it and
decently well too!! I was pretty astonished not going to lie. Agla is a
nice little place too where there's a ton of YSA activity in the ward. A
few returned missionnaires and a few getting ready to go out. There's a
ton of people that are waiting for the Lord and His Gospel I can feel
it and so can my companion. His name is Elder Coulibaly (cool-e-ball-e)
and he's pretty fun. We almost die laughing about 3 times every hour
consistently.
Not much
else this week I guess haha. Thanks for reading though! I'll try and get
some pictures attached so that y'all cans ee Africa a little bit this
time too.
Au revoir!!!
