Subject: Hot Sun and Lovely Wind
Bonjour tout le monde! This week was weird. The week before we were chillin enjoying some nice air and then this week it got hot... and when it got hot I started to die. And not a little bit either haha. We were sweating sooo much, my shirts looked like I just got poured on by rain every night. It was so worth it though!! But there was one night this last week and we got rain!!! But then the next day (Sunday too) was soooo hot. I got a little more red than brown Sunday to say the least.
So
Monday last week we played soccer, hence no email haha. Sorry about
that but it was fun. I don't remember taking any photos this time sooo
sorry about that too. I'll try to be better.
Tuesday
we had a nice district council where Elder Monson talked about charity
and how each of us need to have charity. We then did an exchange with
the zone leaders and I went with Elder N'guessan this time. Super
awesome and we taught this awesome old guy about the restoration and he
was 100% open and loved it and invited us back! He also aid he wanted to
do a fhe type of thing so we're going to try and put that together.
Wednesday
we continued the exchange but I woke up and things were spinning so it
was difficult to go out to sector. Elder Meline wasn't feeling well
either so we both, sadly, missed out on the 2nd part of the exchange.
Elder Kayembe and I worked hard Wednesday however and we went and walked
very far to teach a new convert and her family. We had a member there
too so it made it all so worth it. We had a fhe with the group and
talked about talents. (More on that later)
Thursday
was an all day in the sun sweating and enjoying the mission. I don't
remember [for the moment] any other day on my mission where I just
smiled all day and was happy even with sweat and sun. We met so many
people and talked with even more which was an amazing blessing from the
Lord.
Friday was kinda
short with our weekly planning and then we had a coordination meeting as
well. We were able to talk to out Togolise friend and she was a little
skeptical about church but she ended up coming!!! It was amazing.
Saturday
we spent the day with a member again and were jam packed. We left our
apartment at 9:30 am and didn't get back until 9:30 pm. We had a quick
break of 20 mins also to eat some bomb food. I loved that. The members
always know how to get more food for the same price too... but when I
ask they never say. Kinda sketch haha.
Sunday
we had a visit from President's counsellor and he came with his family
but even if they weren't there, we didn't have any more chairs for
everyone that was there. Dassa has been growing so much recently and I
have loved being apart of that and seeing the Lord really work His hand
in ALL things.
As I said
we talked about talents, and believe it or not each of us has a talent
unlike nobody else. It could be singing, dancing, languages, a musical
instrument, drawing, even photography. There are so many talents that
the Loed has blessed this world with. And with those talents we are
asked to use them and to grow them, and to in turn help others through
them. Sometimes we might be scared or fearful of judgement from others
because of our talents but God blessed you with it because He knows you
better than anyone. Let's, all of us, find our talents and use them.
Don't be afraid! Failure is what made the lighbulb (or so I'm told ;)
Thank
you all for joining me again this week!! Sadly these are counting down,
but let's make them some of the best right!! I'll do my best to write
again next week. I love you all!!!
