Subject: Hello from Cabo
Hey kiddo
How are you? How are things this week? What is new and happening in
Dassa? Have you heard anything on transfer news? How the amis? You had a
baptism today I believe right? How did that go?
Life here is good. We had a pretty quiet start to the week and then
Tyler and I flew to Cabo Wednesday morning. B was going to St George
with her friend Lily for the weekend so it worked out perfectly. The
sunshine and warm is just what I needed.
I started prepping my skin for warm with the tanning bed before when we
were going to go to Hawaii but when that cancelled I just used the rest
of my passes. Even the girl at the Starbucks made a comment about how
tan I was. Well, one day in Mexico and I was screwed! I got so fried
that all day yesterday we just stayed in the shade where we could find
it, I wore a tee shirt and not a tank, and we did what we could to avoid
the heat of the sunshine. Poor Tyler has fried himself to the point
that he is purple instead of red and the tops of his feet are going to
for sure peel. And he wore sunscreen day 1 too! Utah has been so gray
and gloomy without sun for what feels like forever that I guess the skin
doesn’t know what to think or do. My shoulders will most certainly peel
and my entire face too. I didn’t bring any burn to brown so we bought
some different aloe and I just hope it will do the trick. We fly home
tomorrow morning ao if anything we can start that application tomorrow.
We did some whale watching yesterday (on a boat with a cover) and that
was fun. We had 3 whales the whole time that stayed around and one that
flapped it’s fin on the water and one that breached a couple of times. I
will send some videos to fb for you to watch. It was pretty cool. And
it was just me and Tyler on the boat too so it was like our own private
tour. Nice to get away to some sunshine and warm and celebrate upcoming
birthdays and a 10 year temple marriage anniversary anyways.
B has been in St George with Lily and her family. Her brother had a
baseball tournament so she has been down with them. She has loved the
warmer weather as well. To say we over snow and cold is an
understatement. And there is snow due at home again tonight. I wonder if
we will ever see Spring.
Kaitlyn and Eric flew to Texas this morning early to celebrate his
grandpas birthday. His grandma is doing a surprise party tonight for
him. They will fly home tomorrow. Just a quick trip for them but so glad
they were able to make it work and go. What a great thing to celebrate.
This week we will get back to work stuff, life stuff, it’s Eric’s
birthday the 14th so we will have him and Kaitlyn for dinner to
celebrate, and then keep moving forward with all the things we always
add into our calendars. I’m excited to hear about transfers and what is
in store for you for the next 6 weeks. Crazy how fast time keeps ticking
by I sure love you. I hope you can always feel that from home.
Looking forward to catching up on Monday, even if it’s just messenger.
:) Africa sure hasn’t been the easiest for calls that’s for sure. Ha!
I love you. Have the best Sunday.
