Subject: Looks like Spring
Hey!
How are you? How was your week? I LOVED getting your travel details! What a fun message to get. I don't know why they said they don't have an email from me though..that is weird because I have talked to the mission office a couple of times over these last couple of years. Weird! But it's all good.
This week at home has been a bit of a whirlwind. Let's start with the weather for example. Today...nice and sun shiny. Not warm but the sun is out and bright. Driving in the car it is hot behind the glass and it is lovely. But...rumor has it that come Tuesday into Wednesday we are going to get hit with what they are saying will be the snow storms of all snow storms for the year. What the heck?! I am so sick of it already! And the weather is nice enough that the grass is starting to pop through and look like Spring. UGH!
Valentines Day came and went...not a big deal. B's Birthday was fun and I was so happy for her to get her permit too. She was so nervous but it was all just in her head. She is going to be the best little driver and it will be nice for her to be able to have that freedom when she can. We had Kaitlyn and Eric up for dinner and then the Millers and some of B's friends over for cake and ice cream. I will send you a pic of her cake. It turned out so cute and she loved it. It was so fun to celebrate her and she loved being able to talk to you too. Thanks for carving out some time to do that.
I had a couple of nail appointments this week and Brooklyn had an appointment to get her extensions tightened and put back in nice and tight. Add that to her new birthday piercings and the girl has had a headache for the last couple of days. She is a rockstar though and is happy to get through it for the 'beauty of it all'. :)
Today B and I got up and went down to Provo or maybe Orem (they are the same really if you ask me) to do some wedding dress shopping. I wasn't sure what to expect because her style of dress that she wanted when she was dating Brittan is different now that Eric is in the picture. We had a 90 minute appointment and she tried on plenty of dresses. I think *think* she finally decided on a style that she likes the most which will be helpful in 2 weeks when we go to another dress shop. I am shocked at how many styles are available out there these days! I am glad I am not the one making the choice let's just say that.
Tyler is fishing, I have laundry going, and need to clean bathrooms today. I think B wants to do her nails at some point too. We were supposed to be heading to Kauai in the morning but weather is bringing tsunami/hurricane winds so we have cancelled and will be staying home. I am bummed that I will not be on a beach all week and instead will deal with snow removal (if I really decide to believe the weather guys). I am excited though that I don't have to do the 12 hour travel day I won't lie on that. I was just looking forward to warm, the beach, and one on one with Tyler for a full week. It has been a long time since he and I have any 'just us' time and I miss that. Brooklyn has her child development baby coming home this next weekend so maybe the two of us can escape to the cabin over the weekend and leave her here with the baby madness! Ha...that wouldn't be cool but still funny. I can't wait to see how she handles that. I am not looking forward to it at all. I won't lie. But at least it will be done and over with and we can check that off the rest of the school to do list.
There is no school on Monday (President's Day) and so I am stoked for B to have another short week. She is soooo over Middle School and mostly the teachers. They are all the biggest disasters! I cannot wait to close the door on this chapter myself. And celebrate that we never have to do Middle School EVER again! Yay!
Well, I can't wait to hear how your week has gone and how things are progressing. Keep working hard and doing all you are doing. I love you and have you in my prayers always.
Love you oodles,
Mom
