Subject: It's almost Christmas

Hey! How are you? How has your week been? How is Benin? How is the new area? How are the five members? I bet so stoked to have missionaries there to help the growth happen! I cannot believe December is just about through. How in the heck has this month gone by so dang fast?!

Things here this week have been good. I had a few nail appointments and then Tyler and I left on Thursday for our weekend in Beverly Hills. I am currently at the airport waiting which gives me a minute to stop and type an email. :)

It wouldn’t be a classic trip if something didn’t happen before we left though right? I woke up Wednesday with what felt like someone punched me in the jaw and I was a little bit swollen too. So…I had a cleaning scheduled for Monday but I called to see if Rodney could get me in anyways. Thankfully he did and it turns out I have a tooth that had a root canal when I was a teenager and the roots on that have split. Rodney was able to pull some strings and get me into the periodontist on Monday bright and early and he took the crown off to help with the pressure and swelling. So I came to California with a huge hole in the back of my mouth (it’s my last moler spot in the back thankfully) and will start the implant process Monday morning. Super frustrated to say the least but I’m glad I can get in sooner than later.

Beverly Hills was fun. A lot. But fun. We stayed at the hotel from the movie Pretty Woman and as nice as it was, so not worth the price and doing again. Unless I win a billion dollar lottery and money is never going to be a concern again. Ha! I shopped Rodeo Drive and took in a lot of fantastic people watching! Last night in the Louis Vuitton store there was some famous you tube girl who looked like 17-18 years old. Well, turns out she is B’s age!! Dressing trashy and making tons of money doing it. It’s crazy. I love that Tyler did this for Christmas this year. Just the one on one time was good but the new goodies I was able to snag are pretty great bonuses too.

Kaitlyn came in and stayed with B and they have just hung out. I think probably just what Brooklyn loved. She misses Kaitlyn a lot so I am glad it worked out for them to have a couple of days together.

I saw on Facebook that Brittan has arrived home. It’s still wild that a wedding isn’t being planned with him in it but rather looking like one with Eric instead. I will always be grateful for the memories we had with Brittan and for all that he added to each of our lives for sure. I hope in the end he will be able to find happy just like Kaitlyn has.

How are things with your Dad? Have you had much from him lately? Kaitlyn finally took a weekend and went to talk with him one Sunday. He of course still wants to blame her and not take any responsibility and will probably never offer an apology other than he is sorry that she (& probably you too) have perceived things to be the way they were and/or are. I wish I could fight this battle for you both and it is extremely hard for me not to be able to. I just wondered if he has had much lately with you since her going out to try and have a grown up conversation.

I found the cutest mouse for Grandma this year while we have been here. I cannot wait to go give it to her. It is so sweet. I will send you a pic on messenger so we don’t take away storage from the Google drive of your pictures. I also found a book about all of the Hollywood murders for Kaitlyn. I kinda wanna crack the thing open and read all of it but I will wait and hopefully she will let me peek.

I’m excited for Christmas and not at the same time. We have SO much snow at home and I am sure that adds to my not excited. I am so over winter and it appears it will be a long one that will be cold and never ending by the looks of things.

We get our new puppy this week on Thursday. I am a little nervous. Just new puppy stuff and potty training and everything you know? I hope Teeter will play a key role in her training too. We will see. Thankfully it will be break from school but so much for sleep in days too. Ahhh maybe we are nuts. Ha ha ha. She is so so sweet. I’ll send the newest pic I have of her playing in the snow to you too.

Ok, I am going to go see if we are going to get on the earlier flight home. We are on standby for now. If we get on this it means we are home by 8pm instead of 11pm. Fingers crossed and prayers said!

I sure love you. I’m excited to hear about Benin and how you are doing. Keep working hard. It’s clear the Lord and President Proudfoot need you now more than ever to be on the hardest working train there is out there.
