Phone Call: Monday, November 28, 2022

It's another Monday only this time we had a visit from Mexico! We were on a trip and so when Elder Garcia called I unfortunately wasn't able to visit for too too long because between Africa Wifi and Mexico Wifi...well, it just wasn't great. We were able to talk though and some highlights from this week are:

- They had Zone Conference this last week and it was awesome. Elder Garcia really enjoys getting together with all the other missionaries and learning from them as well as President Proudfoot.

- Elder Garcia said that sadly three (3) missionaries were sent home due to a young lady in Togo ending up pregnant. It is very sad and in fact, one of them that was sent home was a previous companion, Elder Kamata. It has really hit Elder Garcia because Elder Kamata was truly one of his favorite companions. We talked about how it really needs to a rally of prayers from those still in the mission for these three Elders to help carry them through this next stage of life for them.

- The Church recently announced six (6) new missions with five (5) of them being in Africa! Elder Garcia's current companion is from Kanaga which is where one of those new missions will be. He is super excited for his home town to be able to see missionaries out bringing others to the Gospel.

- Interviews are already coming up again next week and transfers will follow the week after.

- Zone Leaders are currently really interested in numbers. Elder Garcia and his companion are letting the Lord guide them and it is helping with meeting numbers and finding those who are really interested and not just following the crowd if you will.

- They had 13 new people at church this week!

- Elder Garcia is trying to clean up the area book for the Tabligbo areas. Once he had sector 1 and 2 combined he lost all of the ami's and the contact info. He spent a good 4 days working on this with the office Elders as well and they finally got it all worked out.

- District Council is tomorrow. He is really looking forward to this

- Starting at the first of the year they will now be able to count recent converts into attendance numbers

- The Jeffcoats will be out this week to do inspections and a check in

- Elder Garcia talked about needing a seamstress to sew the backs of the collar part of his white shirts that are coming undone. He said he has new ones he hasn't used yet but he saves those for the new ami's who don't have one for baptism day and afterwards for church. He gives them one of his new shirts. I love this so much!

It was so good to talk and check in. I am excited to hear how this next week will go and how the visit from the Jeffcoats will go as well. I am so proud of all the work that is being done. I love you for forever and for always!
