Phone Call Home: Monday, November 7, 2022

This was a whirlwind of a week for Elder Garcia as he processes transfer news as well as learning that his most favorite companion on his mission, Elder Mulamingo, will be leaving. Some highlights this week:

- Elder Garcia will be going into a trio for now. With transfers, Elder Mahan is getting an Elder from Benin who is still waiting on a VISA so until that can come in he will be in a trio

- With the trio there will be some tricky scheduling because these three Elders will be working both sectors in Tabligbo. Both sectors currently have ami's who are progressing towards baptisms so they both need attention. Elder Garcia is sure they will be able to work it out but it is something he is mindfully aware of.

- Elder Meline is going to Benin as a Zone Leader. Elder Garcia is hopeful to get to Benin one day but for now he is just so excited for Elder Meline

- Elder Mulamingo is also headed to Benin. This is a favorite companion of Elder Garcia's and he is so sad to see him go. He realizes that with the short time that is left on his mission this could be the last time that these two Elders are together. He really wants to come up with something to 'leave behind' if you will and all I could come up with is a handwritten note. It will be interesting to learn if he does something different.

- Elder Garcia has needed a new pillow and has pushed it off but decided this last week that he was going to go ahead and get one. Well, the problem is you can only buy them in a two pack so he did. One was white like normal while the other one is covered in Spider Man! So funny. His companion told him that he was going to dream of Elder Garcia flying like Spider Man does (but I don't think he is actually a flying superhero?). Elder Garcia said he has plans to probably send this fun pillow with his companion when he leaves on this transfer since he doesn't need two of them himself.

- It should be noted that during our entire call, Elder Garcia's companion was in the background whistling some diddy. It was so funny and so I finally asked.

There will be some changes as they head into a trio but Elder Garcia is hopeful that they will still be able to reach the ami's and keep them progressing. I will for certain keep him and his other two current companions in my prayers.

Keep up the good you are doing. Love you for forever,

Mom
