Subject: A Visit

Bonjour tout le monde! Comment vous allez? Sorry I didn't send one of these out last week, we went to the zoo again as a District so we were a lil busy. But that just means we can covet 2 weeks in 1! So let's get into it.

So let's go back to 2 weeks ago so that I can get y'all updated with that. Elder Kamata and I grinded really hard and we found lots of people and had a ton of miracles in our assistance at church on Sunday the 11. We also did an exchange with the Zone Leaders so I went with Elder Kempe again but this time we were in my sector of Sanguera and we rode the bikes all day. It was a good day lanned out but because of the luck of exhanges (some missionaires will understand) a lot of our lessons fell through. But we made up for it by going and visiting new members and some other friends that it had been a second since we had talked to them.

Then last Monday we had our district activity planned to go to the zoo. We ended up having to leave a little later because of the rain so that's why I wasn't able to send out an email last week. But I was able to get some cool pictures that I will attach to this email.

This week was a little weird for me to say the least because normally we have interviews with President Proudfoot on the 5th week but we had a special week this past week so things weren't like the normal. We started off the week with more rain, I don't know what has happened to the weather again here in Togo. On Mondays and Fridays it always rains now and throughout the week we have really hot days with lots of sweat. And lots of dirt. Mondays and Fridays becomes the days of lots of mud because of science haha. But Tuesday we had a good district council with the Zone Leaders and they gave a pretty good lesson on Come Follow Me and how God can use each of us as His mouthpiece here upon the earth to help others know this gospel. We talked about how each of us are missionaires and how we can better ourselves to do the will of God rather than think that we know better.

Wednesday passed in hot and sweat and dirt and a no longer clean white shirt haha. Nothing stays white here in Africa, there is a lot of dirt. Though there is quite a bit of tropical looking trees and plants. I need to get more pictures of them so that y'all can see them. We went and visited some freinds that we are hoping are going to keep progressing so if you could keep the sector of Sanguera in your prayers that would be appreciated.

On Thursday we were graced with a special visit from Elder and Sister Kyungu! Elder Kyungu is part of the Area 70 for West Africa and so he came and did a mission tour. A mission tour is when an authority comes and talks to all of the missionaries and then visits some sectors and apartments with the mission president and that kind of stuff. But when he was talking to us I learned so much and the experiences and testimony that he has for our Prophet of God on the earth today almost had me in tears by the end of his teachings. The biggest thing that stood out to me in what he shared with us had to be the word "BECOME" and what that word can mean for us. More on this subject a little later :)

Friday we fixed a baptism date!!! Elder Kamata and I felt really impressed to talk to one of our amis about baptism and when we got there she asked us about baptism! She asked us if she could be baptised again into another church if she believed it was the true church of God and we said yes. We explained that baptism needs to be done by the proper authority just as Christ was baptised by John who held the priesthood. After she accepted the invitation and we put her on a date for October 8th. If you could all keep Sister Severine in your prayers we would be really grateful for them.

Satrday and Sunday passed way too quickly for me to really remember what we did exactly. I just remember my feelings as we were out working. I know that the Lord was with us as was His Spirit. I felt like my French was understood by everyone and that we were able to answer all the questions that were asked. I do remember that on Sunday we were able to go and visit Fr. Patience and his family and we got to help him understand more of our message while contacting his sister while she was there. We are hoping that we will be able to teach her this week!!

That's all that I got this week y'all. Thanks for getting through another email. I love each of you and I thank you for your emails. I will do my best to respond to them but if not I pormise that I read all of them!

Beaucoup d'amour,
Elder Garcia
