Subject: Fall is coming
Hey kiddo,
How are you this week? How have things been
progressing and moving along with your ami's and any new finds this
week? How is your companion? How are the other Elders doing in the
apartment?
Things here at home are good.
There is a crispness in the morning air that reminds me that Fall is
knocking on our doors and I need to ready myself for that. Even though I
am so not ready! :) There wasn't school or work on Monday so it was
nice to not have anything to worry about. B hung out with friends,
Kaitlyn got fried with friends on boats at Deer Creek. She was gone all
day and had the best time.
Tyler and I
flew to Oakland on Tuesday for the games there. We had great seats in
the press box that came with all you could drink drinks, hot dogs,
pizzas, candy, ice cream, and more. Plus the Braves won both games so
that was fun. We made nice with the guy working on the 2nd game and
ended up being moved to way better seats. So good in fact that we were
right there against the fence when the players were headed back to the
locker room. It was awesome. I got 2 signed balls (Dansby Swanson and
Travis D'Arnaud) and two signatures on a hat (Vaughn Grissom and Michael
Harris II). I say overall it was a good quick trip.
Thursday
and Friday Tyler was hunting. Brooklyn finished out her week at school
and Kaitlyn did the same. She spent Friday night in Provo with some
mission friends and had a great time. Today she is headed to the lantern
festival while we host some friends and neighbors for pizza and pool
before it gets too cold. I made some cookies and have been taking care
of household chores as well.
We have ward
conference tomorrow. Will be interesting to see what the Stake has to
say when they visit and teach lessons. I am sure the class sizes will
surprise them to say the least. I don't know. I just don't get very
hopeful much anymore when it comes to going to church with our ward. I
just wish that there was something good you know? Maybe I need to do
more on my end. And I will work on that but for now...ward conference
tomorrow. ;)
I am hopeful this week has
been good and that you have found reasons to smile each day. I have you
in my thoughts and prayers always. I sure love you.
