Subject: A Week of Mixed Up

Bonjour tout le monde!

I hope this week was great for all yall. I know that it was for us here in Africa! We had to mix up quite a bit of stuff though, hence the subject. Keep reading to find out what was so mixed up.

Alright so to start off with we had an awesome family home evening last Monday and payed this game called Zoom. It's funny to listen to people here try to say the words in English because their accents are so thick. But they do an amazing job nonetheless.
On Tuesday we normally have district councils but this past week we had interviews with President Proudfoot and Sœur Proudfoot and that was just awesome. They are just some of the best people and leaders. I spent a lot of time tlaking about the Spirit and who He really is and how He plays a role in our lives. It lead me into doing a lot of personal meditation and thinking a lot about what it is that I can do to really feel the Spirit.

On Wednesday we had our district council and the Zone Leaders were able to come to this one and they taught us a lesson out of Come Follow Me for this week. We got to talking about Job and how in his life he had some challenging times and how his friends mocked him and reated him badly because of the things that were happening to him. The Zone Leaders then asked us a very imprtant qeustion that I feel like I can ask today. They asked "Est-ce que Job a traverse plus que difficulties dans sa vie que nous avon dans nos vies?" Or the English translation "Did Job go through more difficulties in his life than we do in ours?" Think about the answer for a second. You might start comparing your life to Job's like a lot of us did when posed with this question but we can atually take a look in the 1 book of Nephi in the Book of Mormon to find or answer. In 1 Nephi 3:7 Nephi tels his father, Lehi, that he wil go and do the things that he Lord commands because he knows that the Lord will provide a way for His commandments to be obeyed. The Lord doesn't let us endur in hard times because He deosn't love us. He does it because He knows that we can go through them. Each of us has different livs and each of us has different trials. But the wonderful thing is that if we are obedient to the Lord and His commandments He will help us and will show us the way wherewhich we can get through those hard times.

To continue with the mix, Thursday and Saturday were the only 2 days this past week we were in sector for the full day. Friday was normal with weekly planning and Sunday was basically normal with churhc. But I did have the great opportunity to go and do an baptismal interview for a companionship of sisters in my district. The ami (friend) had to have a translator to help with the questions and it was so cool to see the Spirit talk to all of us in the interview. I absolutely love that about being a district leader. I know I say it everytime but that's because it's true.

Thank you all for reading this week. My spiritual thought is in the second paragraph this week haha. Hopefully you have learned something, I know that I have this week. I love you all!

Beaucoup d'amour,
Elder Garcia
