Subject: Hello from NYC
Hey! How are you? How was your week? Were you able to get any bike
riding lessons in? How are things with your companion this week? What is
one thing they happened this week between the two of you that was
positive? Any news on transfers?
This week for us was fine. A little busy with just day to day things and
getting ready to come to New York for the games this weekend. I had an
order of 4 dozen baby shower cookies to get done before and drop on
Wednesday so that added to some of the madness.
B had tryouts and didn’t make it but that is ok. I am so proud of her
for trying. And she is thrilled to have not made it too! I think she
learned a lot and I think she might even consider trying out for the
junior high team at the end of the month. We will just have to wait and
see. Either way, so glad she gave it her all.
Kaitlyn is busy finishing up her continuing education and looking for a
job. She is getting antsy to be working again which I can totally
understand. She went to lunch with grandma yesterday and said that went
well too. She has been on a couple of dates and I think she may have a
couple of more lined up in the coming week.
We have been in New York since Thursday and I am good to not come back
to Citi Field. Queens NY is gross. All of New York is but wow. Between
the Bronx and queens…I would rather spend my money going to Atlanta in
all honesty. It has been an experience.
Today is a double header day. We both sweat our lives away!! With air
temp and humidity it was like 97’ and holy cow. Our shirts and shorts
were sopping wet! Thankfully we had seats that allowed us into the delta
club where it’s air conditioned and the game is on on about 50
televisions. We lost our first game today and are hopeful for a win
tonight. The Mets are just so so good. So good. Mets won Thursday night,
we took Friday. We just need to take the game tonight and then
hopefully tomorrow too. We fly home tomorrow so I’ll have to watch what I
can on the plane ride home.
Tyler and I celebrated 11 years of being married today too.
still
feels like just yesterday really. I hope one day you find the happy I
did. There really is truly something magical about having a spouse who
gets you 100% and who loves you more than you could ever dream of. I
hope to be even 1/2 the wife to him that he is husband to me.
I am hopeful you’ve have a great week and that you know how much I love
you and have you in my thoughts and prayers. Looking forward to a catch
up call on Monday if you have time. If not, no worries. I get you are
busy. But if a call doesn’t happen know I love you and am so proud of
you. Have the best Sunday.
I love you oodles
Mom
