Happy Saturday evening. How are you? How was your week?
Things this week here at home were full and busy. Getting back into routine with school has been great but you forget how much go go go it adds to life too. I’m grateful Brooklyn has friends and is always off doing something but it will be super nice when she can drive herself too.
Brooklyn decided not to try out for the middle school volleyball team and she seems good with that choice. I think in the end she just didn’t want to have an off chance of missing out on football games or anything like that. She has been to the freshman football games and she spent most of her afternoon on Friday watching the freshman, jv, and varsity volleyball teams play at the high school. It is sure fun to see her embracing the high school life even if I am not sure I’m ready for her to grow up.
Kaitlyn started work and has been all over the place. She had orientation at corporate offices and then the clinic she is going to work at isn’t ready for her because the Dr she will work for hasn’t started there yet. She worked in a clinic in west valley and then another one in Murray another day. I think she has really loved being back at it and it is really good for her to have her schedule full again. And on top of that, school started this week for her too. I’m so proud of her. I’m sure she hated paying for college, it’s sure not cheap, but I think she is excited to start this next stage of life.
Tyler is playing softball again. The teams were done before he decided so he got ‘drafted’. The team he is on is apparently not good, at all. He had practice this week and a game on Thursday. I was going to go but had been under the weather for a couple of days so he went alone. Friday he got up and went hunting again so he is gone again.
Friday was weird. Kaitlyn left for work at like 7:30am, tyler left to go hunting at like 8:30am, and Brooklyn left for school at 9:50am. I was home alone for the first time since Kaitlyn got home and it was just weird. I almost didn’t know what to do with myself! I am so lame that I spent the day cleaning. Deep cleaning. And then B texted and asked if she could go to the volleyball games so I headed downstairs and got the Fall decor brought up. I figured Tyler was gone, B was now going to be done most of the evening, and Kaitlyn was going straight from work to Provo to hang with some mission friends so it was a good time to bust it out. We are going to the cabin this next weekend for Labor Day and then Tyler and I are going to Oakland for a couple of baseball games, after that we have a couple of other things on the calendar that it was a great weekend to get them out and the house done. Plus our weather is all over the place again with highs in the upper 80’s which means cooler Fall like weather is knocking on the doors and it will be nice to be house ready for it. I’m still hopeful we have pool days but only time will tell. I hung outside today for a couple hours and it was nice. The temps were for sure warm but then the cloud cover came in and it was nice. Honestly…a great day and I even got a small nap in! I don’t sleep well when Tyler is gone so it was nice to catch up a little.
Kaitlyn has a homecoming tomorrow and B and I will head to church. I wish it was something I was looking forward to but our ward is just not something that draws excitement. I wish something would have changed last week during stake conference but like always, it never does. It’s a good thing I have a testimony and faith in all of it but when you want to surround yourself with like mindedness to grow and strengthen those both and it isn’t an option it makes it tricky. I’m hopeful to get more time out back poolside tomorrow again but we had some rainy clouds and some wind tonight so I will keep my fingers crossed. We also have training again tomorrow with Teeter so we have that to look forward to.
I’d like to hear how things progressed this week and if you were able to add any new amis? How are baptisms looking? It seems like it has been a while so I wonder if this sector is harder than others? How is Elder Kamata this week? What are some things you have learned this week from him? Anyways, I hope you are well and happy and I hope you know how much I love you.
Have the best Sunday and I will catch up with you on Monday. I love you. So proud of you and all you are doing.
