| Pday calls at the cabin |
Another week has already flown by and Elder Garcia has learned that with this upcoming transfer, he is staying where he is. He is excited about it and knows there is work to do so he will just keep pushing on.
We were at the cabin this weekend for the holiday so we dealt with some connection issues but we were able to talk for a bit and it was nice catch up. Elder Garcia told me that the Zone has now been put into 4 Districts instead of just 2. I wonder why that happens and what the Mission President sees you know? I always think it would be interesting to know the 'why'. I don't want the responsibility by any means, I just want to know! Ha
Elder Garcia also shared that they are now the ones that will be responsible to set goals and not the Zone Leaders. This adds to his plate some as a District Leader but perhaps it will help him to see the reasoning behind some of the past goals set and he will be able to help keep the mission moving.
We talked some about the events going on up at the cabin and that we were headed to the parade that morning and then the rodeo later. This time last year he was in the home MTC and at the rodeo. This year, it will be just Brooklyn but then next year it could potentially be all 3 of them again. Crazy how fast time goes. We touched basis a little on Sister Garcia traveling home and if he was going to be able to get a chance to watch her homecoming on Sunday. It sounds like as long as they can arrange their rendezvous for Sunday and they can make it to the church (for the wifi), he will be able to log on and listen. I hope he gets that chance.
Overall, it is nuts how fast time is going by! He is on the downhill if you will and will hit 13 months this month. I wasn't 100% sure that time would be on my side as a Mom of a missionary but I am sure grateful that it is.
I am so proud of you. Keep working hard and trusting in the Lord and His plan. I love you,
Mom
