Bonjour tout le monde!

Ok so last week there wasn't anything really exciting except ya know... lots and lots of rain and lots of calling people from the apartment. It was probably the longest feeling week of my mission because we did absolutely nothing! Thankfully this week was so much different and I loved it a lot more!!

This week we started off different than normal haha. We went and had a great District Council but as we were coming back I started getting body aches. Like you guys know when you're coming down with the post flu shot hurt? Yeah a lil something like that. It's safe to say my comp told me that we weren't going out on bikes... kinda sad but better to talk to everyone!! That night I also went to bed with a nice fever but slept like I was dead so it's was great.

The fever went away and I wasn't feeling sick by Thursday which was great because we had interviews with President and Sister Proudfoot! I say it everything and imma say it again but they're amazing!! President asked me about what I've learned in the past year on my mission and what it is that I want to focus on even more this next year and then Sister Proudfoot and I talked about how lots of people here say you're at a summit and you're going to start descending but how that's not actually the case. Life is this big roller-coaster of a ride of ups and down but we are always on an incline slope to get back to our Heavenly Father.

Sunday we had a great meeting in church and we talked about Elder Bendnars talk from Conference in April (see though below). We also went to this really far part of our sector where there were absolutely 0 Amos and contacted people and promised to come back this next week to talk and teach lots of people. It was really fun, minus the bike seat going up and down more times than Morgan Wallen sings in his song haha.

Like I was saying this week we studied the talk "Bue We Headed them Not" from the Apeil 2022 General Conference. As we were studying it we had amis and members throwing out questions and responses but something that one of our amis said was that as we are giving head or attention to something or someone to guide us, like Elder Bednar said to do, there are also those people and those things in our lives that we come across and we shouldn't head or give them any attention. The adversary is always trying to pull us off the path that Lehi and Nephi both saw in 1 Nephi (8 & 11 respective) by trying to give us things or people in our lives that he wants us to focus on. But the Lord because He loves us He has provided us with the bar of iron that we can use to stay on the path. Even if there are small corrections or small mistakes we make in our lives there is ALWAYS a way back to the bar, because of the grace of our Father and His Son. If there are things in your life that maybe are providing a distraction or are pulling you off the path I invite us to let go of them and place a firm grip on the bar wherewith we can reach the most desirable fruit of all.

Thank you all for reading this week and again sorry the rain was something and last week's email wasn't there. Hopefully this made up for it.

Beaucoup d'amour!
Elder Garcia
