Subject: Some exchanges and rain

Bonjour tout le monde!! This week was lots and full... for the most part. We got hit with some rain too so hot days cooled down nice haha. Here's some highlights and maybe some pics for y'all

- We had an amazing District Council and I definitely felt the Spirit when we were doing roleplays (first time that ever happened)
- Did some more baptismal interviews and met some very prepared sons of God. They got baptised this past Saturday too!! The sisters here are awesome
- Went on an exchange with Elder Deafon (the Zone Leader) and introduced him to "hawaiian pizza;" it was interesting and had corn on it with pineapple and ham. Surprisingly good but with a whole new flavor twist
- We got rained in on Friday but Elder Proffit and I made a chess board and taught our companions how to do that so now there's always a game going haha
- An electricity pole went kaboom and died on Saturday so we had no power for all day Saturday and then about half of Sunday
- Sunday was fast and testimony meeting!! Our friends went up and bore their testimonies along with the members and it was definitely a Sunday that I am never going to forget!!

This past week I have been studying on how to learn patience again. Being here in Africa there is always something that is testing my patience. Whether it be having amis show up late, the power going out, not cleaning up after dinner 😂, and even just simple things like following a written schedule I know that all of these things happen for a reason. The Lord knows the best ways to help me in this life to achieve my goals and to achieve what it is that there is to come in the next life. Just as Nephi says in 1 Nephi 3:7 "he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them." The Lord may send us challenges and the adversary may tempt us but the things that we go through in this life are things that we can handle. I know that as we continue to press forward and to keep going the Lord is there right by our sides at all times.

Thansk for reading another email this week! Sorry I didn't send anything last week, nothing much happened haha. 😅 i hope you all have a fantastic week this coming week! Send me emails nd updates y'all haha.

Beaucoup d'amour
~Elder Garcia
