Subject: Interviews and highlighters
Bonjour/bonsoir tout le monde!! J'espere que vous allez très bien!!
This week was filled of a lot so I'll add a few highlights for y'all.
-We put 3 more people on a baptismal date for this coming Saturday!!
- We (sadly) now have bikes again so catch a pic of me looking like a highlighter with the comp below

- Got contacted by an old ami and got fed a pretty good smoothie and muffin
- This week we did lots of baptism prep with all our friends. If you could keep them in your prayers that would help lots
-
Elder Mulamingu (my companion) speaks A TON of English so we did a lot
of planning in English this week and it's probably safe to say that my
english has gone down hill haha
- We had interviews
with President and Sœur Proudfoot this week!! I always lo e getting to
talk to them about my questions. Very insightful responses too
-
My companion and I got to give a blessing to our stake president. He's
been sick with Malaria for the past 2 weeks so if you could keep him in
your prayers so the he can start feeling better that would be great too!
- Almost all of our amis who are getting ready to be baptised showed up to church this week!
- I learned about how to legally marry in Togo... you just have to have a crap ton of money
This
past week I really started focusing on a talk that I got from my
mission president. It's called the 4th missionary and is very good for
everyone, even if you aren't a missionary. It goes through and explains
how the first 2 missionaries just think that that can do what ever they
want and they won't be punished but in reality all they are doing is
messing up their own experiences. The 3rd missionary is obedient but
thinks that everything is going to be the same thing when he gets home.
Or applying rk real life; you don't grow or change and you think that
everything jsut stops around you and is waiting for you to change too
but in reality you're falling behind. You're still obedient to the Lord
but only because you know its the right thing to do. The 4th missionary
is the missionary who gives their everything to the Lord. Most
especially their heart. They go through the mission and life as a
willing disciple of Jesus Christ and grow and become the person of their
divine potential. I found that even though there might be some trouble
giving the Lord everything, there is so much reward and so many
blessings that are waiting in store for us if we become like the 4th
missionary.
I love you all and I am very grateful for your emails! I will respond if I can and I have the time.
Jusqu'a la semaine prochain!!
~Elder Garcia
