Happy Saturday! How was your week? How did things go with your ami's and with your companion and also District? How are the goals coming along? What was the best part of your week and where did you find that the Lord showed His hand in making sure His work progressed among those you are working with day in and day out?

This week for us was fine. It was mostly spent with Tyler working on the pool draining and getting the pavers cleaned so he could get them sealed up. This pool has proven to be nothing more than a pain in his rear for the most part and I think most days he probably cursed a lot under his breath for even having it done. After seeing how much work it took to get it to where it is today, I can't say that I blame him. It took almost 4 full days to drain, then he power washed it to get all the blossoms and garbage out of it, they came and acid washed it, and then it was time to fill it up all over again. It has officially been heating now for the last 24 hours and is at just about 80'. This is great news because the weather going into this next week is in the high 80's and I can already see myself spending some quality time out there in that lovely goodness. :) Tyler also got the pavers on the bottom half of the yard all cleaned and the sealer applied. I cannot believe the difference! It has so much color compared to just beige. I will send you a photo on the Facebook so you can see as he is applying it. I think once the whole project is done it is going to look like a whole new everything was installed. I hate that it was so dang expensive but I am sure glad it will get done. I am also very grateful that Tyler was willing to do it because that also saved us some money rather than hiring it out.

With the weather warming up so fast there is some concern with the river at the cabin. I imagine this next week will find Tyler up there to assess where it is and if we need to do anything more than sandbags. We haven't been up because of the cost of fuel. At over $5 a gallon now it will be over $100 just to drive there and back home. We need to find some time to go and stay up there in order to make it worth it and right now with school coming to an end, testing happening, and other appointments we just haven't been able to carve even an overnighter trip. I miss the cabin so I hope that once school is out we can make it up there and stay a few nights. We will see I guess right?

Today started heavy. Tyler's cousin has a 10 year old son (youngest of 4 boys) who was getting ready for school yesterday and his older brother knocked on the bathroom door saying he needed a turn so he could get ready too. Well, the little brother didn't answer so the older one opened the door and the little brother was in the middle of a seizure. The older one called his parents who were on their way home from the gym. The parents called 911, the ambulance arrived and took him to Logan Hospital but the meds to control the seizures weren't working so they life flighted him to Primary Childrens. When he got there they found an abnormal blood vessel on his brain had ruptured and he was bleeding. They took him to surgery immediately and stabilized. Overnight though they couldn't get numbers 'normal' so in for another emergency surgery and it's been touch and go super critical condition since. Tyler and I rode up to Primarys to sit and visit with Nate and Jaime (parents) but when we got there and Tyler send Nate a text, Nate said that Dawson (10 year old) wasn't doing well and they were taking him in for another CT scan. So, we ended up coming home and told Nate that we would be here if they needed anything and maybe we would try again tomorrow to stop up. Seriously I cannot even imagine and my heart just aches for these two. It has really been hard on Tyler and I can see that it bothers him a lot. I just cannot comprehend the heavy that Jaime must be feeling as a Mom. I pray I never have such a trial in my life. I am grateful for good health for each of you. Maybe you could keep them in your prayers? I think as many as we can get asking the Lord for peace as He works out His plan for this sweet little boy would be only beneficial for his parents.

Tomorrow we got invited to have dinner at the Millers! That has never happened before and so I am stoked that Akaela is finally, after all of these years, open to us at their house. I think I am also going to take Brooklyn and Kynlee to LaGoon after Sacrament meeting for a couple of hours too. I think B would really enjoy that and to have just the two girls instead of all the kids I think would be a nice change for the older kids you know? Plus then I don't have to go to Sunday School. ;) B gets to go to the dentist this week and I have a Presidency Meeting on Wednesday. Other than that so far our week has looked pretty low key. B gets her wisdom teeth out on the 27th so we will need to get a few things picked up at the grocery to have here for her and I also am hopeful that on the 26th we find out that she is officially done with Accutane. Everything is coming to a close/end around here when it comes to 8th grade and being in the thick of Middle School and I cannot be more happy about that!

Anyways, I hope that this week was good for you and I hope that you can feel our prayers on your behalf. I hope that you have learned something new this week and have been able to apply it as a missionary but also kept it close to your heart so that you can continue those good things when you come home as well. I sure love you and am proud of all you are doing. Keep up the hard work and the effort you are giving.

Love,
Mom
