Elder Garcia in Africa, Mom and Robyn in Kauai, Sister Garcia in Brazil

It was a Monday of a party of 4 this week on a call since I was in Kauai and Robyn and Sean were with us. Robyn woke up early to jump on and say hello and was pleasantly surprised when both the missionaries were on the call. I was thrilled she got to see you but I was upset in the end because our time on our call was not the same with the interruption. :)  (It's all about sharing...I am trying to learn ha ha)

Elder Garcia jumped on after Sister Garcia and I were talking so I didn't get very long with him at all today but I did learn that he is going to be a district leader in this next transfer. He is excited and looking forward to it but also a little apprehensive and so turned to Sister Garcia for some advice.

We all know what happens when these two are on the same call. :) Sister Garcia started talking and sharing her experiences from being a trainer to an STL and gave Elder Garcia some sound advice. One of the key being 'obedience'. Elder Garcia has some photos that he has shared with him and some kids. This is a no no when it comes to being a missionary, no matter the circumstance. Well, Sister Garcia reminded him and even pointed out in his Preach My Gospel where it says just that. She even shared about an Elder in her own mission who had been sent home for that. Just a heeding is all she was trying to get across and I hope that Elder Garcia will take that and run with it.

Elder Garcia is sad to be leaving Elder Meline but he is grateful for the time that he had with him and he will still see him now and then so that will be good. He is also going to be companions with Elder Obeya too! What a small mission right? Elder Garcia's first companion is now going to be Elder Meline's. Crazy.

In all, even though I had to share my time with Robyn who asked lots of questions I was glad that we were still able to make a call and see one another. Hawaii time is brutal when you have so many transitions to time zone changes but seriously, I will make it all up in a nap on the beach later today. :) Keep doing the things you are doing and keep a prayer in your heart always.
