Hey mom,
Well this week was
probably the weirdest of my mission concerning health haha. On Tuesday
morning Elder Meline was sick. Then that night I was up all night sick.
Then for basically the rest of the week I had a stomach ache and when we
got to church this morning everything was fine. And then we sat down
and I was like... uh oh. I went to the bathroom and threw up the little I
had in my stomach. I'm better now but I have no idea what the freaking
heck happened haha. Other than that though I'm doing great. Everything
is going good and I am starting to focus on harder grammar in my studies
and it's kicking my buttttt. This week went by again, just like every
other week. But we had Zone Conference this week too and that was really
great. I always love those because instead of having 2 people's minds
coming together we have the entire zone plus the assistants plus
President Proudfoot and Sœur Proudfoot too. Our amis are coming along.
Not how I was expecting but they're coming along. We also found our
Friday night that an ami who is progressing great is actually a
prostitute so that was a setback, but she understands she needs to
repent so hopefully she is willing. We also have a baptismal date with
Fr Andre, I think I told you that, we're just waiting on permission from
his dad. Finding people this week went slow. We didn't have anyone with
new amis and everyone we talked to just kinda said hi and then left. I
think that a highlight this week would have to be that we got sent an
ami from someone else in Lomé and the ami actually wants to talk and is
interested. That has never happened with me before so it's kinda cool.
Hahah
I would think that Utah is a little colder than a Mexico beach. I wish
that I could have more rain storms. They're really welcome and cool down
the air here. Plus walking in the rain is a guarantee of someone
inviting you to their house and finding a new ami. It's great that the
weather is starting to warm up though. Hopefully your flowers can come
through.
How was the
homecoming talk? How long has she even been home?? Like a month? I like
the way that our ward does it. The week you get back is the week you
speak. It just makes more sense to me in all honesty.
How
are Robyn and Sean? It seriously seems like it has been forever since
the last time I saw them haha. Maybe it has been. I don't remember the
last time I was at grandma's for a family get together to see them. Fish
can be good... I'm not a big fan of it here though. Lots of fish heads
and gross basically haha. That's going to be super fun! You guys can go
and do the adventure things that you like and still have the beach time
too. You won't have to worry about someone hijacking the trip. That's
just... wow. I wouldn't even come close to thinking like that but
yeah... wow. I prefer walking in all honesty. Bikes are great but there
are definitely days when you don't need them so jsut walk for a change.
That's my opinion at least.
I'm
kinda sad I missed that. It was something that I thought was fun when
he randomly called me and said he had a "special project" for me to help
with. And then we would go do that. I got to do like heavy labor haha.
And does the unit in Oakley have enough room for everything? That's
quite a bit of stuff I feel like. What kind of cookies? Like the flavor,
I'm guessing they're sugar cookies. What are your new techniques too??
Did B do some cookies or did y'all just talk together or go and do
something? All nighters can be fun... you just need people to do them
with so that so that you be sure not to fall asleep haha.
Thanks
for the email and the update this week. It sounds like you guys were
busy but not terribly. The right amount of busy. I love you guys! I'll
talk to y'all later.
Also...
what other crazy baseball information is there besides Freddy going to
LA?? That's just crazy, and pretty stupid but whatever I guess. Chase
some money if you really want it.
I love you too,
Elder Garcia
