Subject: End of a week
Hey. How are you? How was your week? How are things with your ami’s progressing? How was the baptism?
Things here have been a little more alive I guess if you will. We had
crappy snow show up. And when I say crappy I mean the heavy wet and a
whole lot of it crappy. I shoveled so B didn’t have to walk in the snow
to get to the Millers van since Akaela was driving one day and holy cow.
My arms were so sore! This next week should warm up enough that
hopefully we can soon forget the cold.
Tyler and I celebrated 9 years of being sealed in the temple at the
Chinese restaurant. B wasn’t up for joining us to celebrate that day
that included her too so we made it quick. We have been prepping to get
ready to come to Cabo and having things here for grandma and Brooklyn
too. Not much really. B is easy when it comes to food. She isn’t picky
and that sure helps make it easy.
I have been apprehensive to come to Cabo because the last Mexico
experience in Cancun was just not good. I didn’t feel safe going out, I
hated the language barrier, and overall just unimpressed. Thankfully,
Cabo has been very different. When we arrived it was a freaking joke to
get through customs. After standing in line for almost 2 hours we
learned that from March 6 - April 1 is college spring break down here.
That line was just wow.
We went whale watching yesterday. It was fine. We found a couple but our
boat driver wasn’t overly aggressive like other boat captains were so…I
will see if I have a good video and send it to your Facebook to look
at. When we got back we found a spot on the beach and the sun won in a
couple spots on my person. My shoulders mostly but life will move on.
Today we will spend at the condo resort in the sunshine. We have a spot
under a cabana and a waiter who is ready to fill our waters and bring
us anything we want to eat with a wave of a red flag. There are big huge
yachts to watch roll in and out, fantastic people watching, I have a
new book to read, and a nap already sounds good. Hard for me to be this
lazy I won’t lie. But I think my body has enjoyed the slow down
Tomorrow we meet with a fishing guy and his boat bright and early. Tyler
will go out and try to hook a marlin. Should be an experience to say
the least. Monday will be back down to a cabana for more sunshine and we
will have to go get a Covid test to go home on Tuesday too. When we
landed in Cabo it was announced that the mask mandate has been extended
through April 18 so a Covid test to re-enter stays too. Tuesday we check
out of our room at 11 and head to the airport. We fly at like 3 and are
home at 7pm or 7:30pm.
I enjoy a good escape but I also really love being home too. I’m glad we
have given Cabo a try because it has been good and I really love the
2.5 hour direct flight too. Total game changer!
Anyways, I hope you have had a good week. I’m still trying to figure out
a drop to get to you. Remind me the deodorant and pens you needed? I
sure love ya.
