BONJOUR!!!! Ah, comment vous allez??
This week was absolutely great but with so news! Let's get into it.
Tuesday
was normal for the most part. District Council, the last of the
transfer so getting some pics of that and then going back to the
apartment to eat some rice and chicken like normal. But then came our
rendez-vous... I don't know what happened but somehow we have been
slammed with very little time to visit everyone that we are meeting
with. But we definitely gave it our best and ended up at institute and
when we got back all 3 of us were just dead tired.
Wednesday was another day of chuck full back and forth and yeah haha.
Thursday
we did an exchange and got a call from President Proudfoot in the
morning and found out that for some medical reasons an Elder was going
home to recover and Elder Teko was going to replace him. So I got to
spend one last day with my son before letting the KING known as Elder
Kempe adopt him.
On
Friday we said goodbye to Elder Teko and then Elder Meline and I got our
planning done and then we headed out to sector only to go to the
absolute edge of it and then have to come all the way back into the
middle to go to a coordination meeting. It was seriously the most
walking I have done in a single day haha.
Saturday
was interesting because our amis were there for about 10 minutes and it
was weird to have to teach super quickly so we did a lot of service and
helping.
Sunday was
Ward Conference in Adakpame so there were lots of people there annnnnd
we had 13 amis at church! I'm pretty sure that a new record for me.
We
have an ami with a baptismal date for the 12th so if you could keep her
in your prayers that would be great. Also the family that I was
teaching up in Kpalime got baptised!!! Elder Kouadio talked to me about
that too.
This week I
have thought a lot about going forward with faith. At the beginning of
the week I felt really overwhelmed and had no idea what was going to
happen but then I got down and just said a quick prayer and everything
that seemed like a lot wasn't anymore. I relied a lot on the Lord this
week to help me get through all of the lessons that he needed me and my
companions to do. I know that in life we can get caught up in the moment
an feel like everything is falling apart but my invitation is to rely
on the Lord. He is there for each and every one of us and He is willing
to help.
I love you all!! Beaucoup d'amour d'Afrique!
~ Elder Garcia
