Subject: Happy Saturday from home
Hey!
How are you? How was this week? How did things go
with all of your appointments and how is Elder Meline doing with the
language? Any news on any ami's? Also, I would love to know what the
images are you have on your drive that looks like someones notebook? And
what is your goal sheet you drew out?
Things
here are fine. We travelled home yesterday. All day. Literally. We left
Kauai at 8:25am and arrived home in our house at almost 11pm. I love
Hawaii and the escape into warm and sunshine but I do not love the
travel that it takes in order to get there and back. :/
I
am incredibly grateful to be home with no masks! I cannot believe that
Hawaii still has them in place. I cannot believe the airlines still do
as well. I long for the day that they just simply don't exist. I hope it
is before your time on your mission is done. Fingers crossed!
B
had a good time by the end of the week I think. We went whale watching
and saw some super close whales and even had some dolphins join us on
our travels. There was the cutest little baby dolphin. Brooklyn really
loved seeing that. She got a pretty good headache on the boat so she
didn't come down right close by me and Tyler on the front of the boat
but she said she was glad she went. The whales we saw in Kauai were MUCH
closer than those in Maui. You could feel the moisture out of the spout
that they did that's how close they were. It was pretty rad and
something we had never done on this island before so it was fun to
experience that. B got pretty wicked tan. Like she looks dirty on her
face tan. :) That was her whole goal and I think she pretty much nailed
it.
Our week moving forward will be full
of Brooklyn getting her makeup work done. Mostly tests. She tried to get
her homework all done while we were gone and I think she had a few
things still left today is all but not a huge deal. I needed her to take
this week for herself and be good with stepping out of the madness
teenage life creates. Brooklyn has her booster Covid shot tomorrow
afternoon after church is all but it is also Akaela's birthday so they
might come up for dessert. We are just waiting to hear if that is the
case or not. I ordered the Lululemon workout mirror and that is being
delivered on Monday evening. Looking forward to that. We sold the big
machine that was downstairs and I will put the mirror down there in its
place. I am glad that it won't mean I have to join a gym. I can't do
that.
I have a meeting on Wednesday with the
new teachers we have called for Relief Society just to get a schedule
put into place so they all know when they are teaching. Nothing huge,
just a taking care of housekeeping. It's supposed to be a flex Friday
but instead they have called it a Mental Health Day so no school. We are
going to head up to the cabin for the weekend as a post and pre
birthday celebration. Kynlee has a birthday on the 9th and B's is the
15th so we will do cake and ice cream and just hang out celebrating
them. I think it will be good. Just another step outside of the norm you
know? Plus hanging with the Millers is always a good idea if you ask
me. :)
I am looking forward to getting
back on the treadmill this next week. My hamstring finally feels good
enough to do just a simple walk and I am thrilled about that. I feel
like the biggest loser in all honesty so it will be good to get back to
routine.
I am also looking forward to a
regular Monday with phone calls if you have a chance. This last week in
Hawaii pretty much killed me to have 3 extra hours added for you guys
and 3 lost for me! I am getting old clearly! ha ha ha
I
hope you know how much I love you and how proud I am of you. I just
smile thinking of all the good you are doing. Have the best rest of your
weekend and the best Sunday.
Love you to the moon and back,
Mom
