Subject: Did A Full 180...
Bonjour bonjour!! J'espère que les semaines se sont bien passées.
Jumping
right into it I had to say goodbye to Anfame and Adakpame and not gonna
lie... I definitely cried but that's the mission. I am going to forever
remember those experiences in the 6 weeks rather I was there. And now
onto the news. Guess who's back in Kpalime?!?! Yeah, me. Since the area
got whitewashed and then nobody came up last transfer and I know the
area I get to show my new companion around Kpalime. It's weird being
back here but the Lord has his reasons right?? (I did a full 180... or
is it 360? Not actually sure haha)
My
new companion is Elder Kouadio, he's from Côte d'Ivoire and he's
awesome. We were in the same district when I was down in Anfame so I
know him a little already. He's pretty jacked too, which is a great
motivation in the mornings to workout.
Over the past few weeks though here have been my highlights:
• I did exchanges with Elder Anderson (he's huge too and really fun)
• I met this really amazing recent convert family in Anfame and had to say goodbye

• I got a pretty sick African outfit
• Elder Kikwati and I had another baptism in Anfame
• Looooooooooong ride to Kpalime (didn't really miss that but oh well)
• Bikes... let's just say walking is 100 times better
The
first few days up in Kpalime were a little rough getting used to the
bikes again and finding people to teach, but by the grace and help of
our Heavenly Father we were able to find people to teach and now we have
a good amount of amis again.
We
had Zone Conference this past week too and it was another combined
because there was a member of the 70 there who came down to talk with
us. It was sooo cool. He spoke English but President Proudfoot
translated for him. He talked about how this work is one of the most
important works because it is the literal gathering of Israel. He also
talked about how we got the 10 tribes to be and how our Heavenly Father
knew where Ephraim was and it was seriously just so cool... my mind was
blown. I really need to study the Abrahamic Covenant more haha. If
anyone knows any good scriptures for that for personal study please let
me know. Or books, granted I can't read them until after my mission
because I don't have access but the titles would be grately appreciated.
This
next week we are looking forward to trying to get Kplaime reactivated
because it was whitewashed and then no missionaries came up here for 6
weeks. But in the Lord's time we will do His work.
For my spiritual thought this week I would just like to share a little bit of what I learned in Zone Conference.
Elder
Klebingat of the 70 looked at each and every one of us and then said,
"if there are things gs in your life that are holding you back from
being fully committed to the Savior then put it on an alter and
sacrifice it to the Lord. If he sees it fit then whatever that thing is
will be in your life, if not then you don't need it." I reflected a lot
on that since Thursday and my invitation to you all this week is to find
something that you can put up on an alter to the Lord. Let Him help you
in your life, but first show Him that you are willing to accept His
help.
I love every
single one of you and am so thankful. I would say Merry Christmas season
but it just doesn't feel the same with no snow.
