Subject: Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas 2021 to you! It is still technically Christmas Eve here at home but at 8:30pm I thought I’d write a quick email and let you know how our week went here. I hope you have a chance to keep me updated on your week too.

Not much happened and I am sure a lot of it is because it’s the week of Christmas. B had an Ortho appointment and a dermatologist appointment on Wednesday. They were going to take her to 2 pills a day for accutane but she doesn’t weigh enough so we still are doing just 1 a day. Her face already looks so much better and I think she is starting to feel a lot better about it too.

Tyler and I went up to the adult ward Christmas party at the Balls on Wednesday night. There is one word to describe it and that simply is ‘pathetic’. A total of 21 people. That includes the bishopric and their wives, all of my presidency, and a small handful of others in the ward. A crap ton of money spent, pathetic turnout, and a tidal embarrassment on a Christmas party as a ward in whole.

The rest of the week has been hanging here at home. Tyler and I went to the mall just to make sure we didn’t see anything we wanted to add under the tree. It was madness and so we didn’t stay long. We took B to the Wild Rose last night for dinner and then we came home to snag the small gifts for the Miller kids and took them down. The boys loved the yodeling pickles and I am sure Jason and Akaela are hating me right now for giving them to them.

Tyler took his kids to lunch today so B and I headed to the tattoo parlor. She wanted her cartilage pierced and I got the daith on my left ear done. Hopefully that will help with some migraines I can’t seem to keep away. B was funny. She wasn’t sure she wanted to go into a tattoo parlor but in the end it was fine. Her ear is killing her right now (so is mine) but she seems happy about it. We have hung out low low key today after that. It was supposed to snow but so far just rain. We had crazy wind yesterday! Literally so crazy that it blew the loungers by the pool into each other! I thought for sure that would have brought the snow but nope. So far just rain.

We did dinner (crescent chicken) and then the three of us did a gingerbread house. I will put the pictures below but you get to guess who did what one. After that was all cleaned up we played a full 9 rounds of golf and then B said she wanted to go color upstairs. So…she got into pajamas and then headed up. Tyler and I are watching A Christmas Story for a bit before we call it a night too. I’m excited for so many things tomorrow that I don’t know if I will sleep all that well! I can’t wait to get to talk with you and Kaitlyn and I can’t wait for a couple gifts to be opened too.

Tomorrow will be weird without you two here but like I said earlier, I wouldn’t want you anywhere else. The day when we are all together again during the holidays will be simply wonderful and I can wait. Please know I love you and I think of you always.
