It sounds like you guys had a really productive week? I am doin great
though! Elder Kikwati and I are getting along really well still and I
think that I am going to miss him when treansfers come up here in like 3
weeks... crazy to think that they are that close. Zone Confreence was a
blast! Seriously every elder and sister in Togo was there and that made
I think something like 60 of us. I forgot the number that I counted.
But it was great. I had to listen to the last testimmony of Elder Fowers
and that kinda made me sad because I'm gonna miss the guy. crazy how in
only 5 months you can get to know someone and call them a friend.
Especially when it is only over video calls haha. Elder Osieme is
leaving too, he's pretty cool an reminds me of one of my friends back
home. The Coes gave thier testimonies too and everyone is going to miss
them... let's just say that. The theme that President Proudfoot really
stressed was having 2 feet in the mission at all times. It got me
thinking to when I first started my mission to where I am now and I can
see the difference in what it is that I have been able to do and the
experiences that I have had because I decided to do 2 feet in.
With
Elder Kikwati it's going great. Though, he did use all of his 40,000 in
one week so my money became our money and yeah... I didn't like that.
For our planning meeting we were both so exhausted. Thursday was this
really big runaround day and it took a lot out of us. That and it was
HOT! So Friday morning was nice to kind of just recharge for a second.
But normally we talk about our amis and how we can help them, share some
scriptures from personal study, set goals for this next week, and then
at the end we have a spot for what can I do so that I am not annoying
you or making you feel lesser that you are kinda thing. I brought up the
money thing and he said that he would try and be more wise with his
money and that he was sorry. He also said that he would pay me back for
everything that he used so that was great to hear. But that is basically
our planning sessions. Always focusing on how we can help others and
then each other too. An Soeur Charlotte hasn't accepted the baptism but
we have 2 more set up for the 4th of December! So at the end of the
transfer we are having a collective baptism and that is when the whole
district gets together and we just baptize a bunch of amis. Our goal is
to have at least 4 there and right now we have 2 so we will see.
I
lowkey actually miss the dentist. I knew that it was time to go because
I had to switch out my toothbrush and that was sad haha. I think that
everything is just going to be crazy as long and people are still
worried about Rona and maybe Biden? I obviously don't know anything
about the politics right now. I can imagine how frusturating that would
be and how hard too. I definately don't have your patience to go and do
the passport and the dentist like that. I am learning patience here
though, that's for sure. Mainly with our amis who just ask a buttload of
questions that don't pertain to anything we have taught.
You
finally cleaned out that room!?!? That only took 6 years haha. I bet
that it feels nice to not have all of that stuff just packed down there
now huh? Am I going to come home and all of a sudden you have decided
that the color of the house is wrong and have it repainted again? That
would be something for sure. It is kinda sad what we had down in that
basement huh?
It sounds like your trip went good
rather than the fact that you were tired? Hopefully that's the case. I
am kinda missing some cold right now. Lome is just getting hotter and
hotter everyday and mmy comp and I can feel it and the sun is dragging
us down a bit. We are drinking one of those massive bottles of water
from the water cooler that we have (kinda like the one at home) a day.
It's hot. Simple as that haha.
I don't really have
much else to say through email day though, so I think that I will
update more on the phone call if that's alright with you.
I love you guys and thanks for the update again on what's going on back home.
Beaucoup d'amour,
Elder Garci
