Hey mom!

This week was weird because now I only have 2 weeks left for the transfer and it just flew by. I'm not really sure how much I like that haha. We also had 2 baptisms this week!!! I don't think that I put those photos on the drive yet but I will today because it was cool. The girl was a muslim so that is a miracle in itself that we got her to commit. And then the boy has been taking lessons for about 6 months now and just kind blew it off everytime but for some reason this time was different I guess. My companion is out of money again but he hasn't asked me for any yet so that's progress. I seriously can't remember what really happened this week because it was just so fast. I know that it has 100% gotten hotter though. I am sweating like crazy even before we leave the appartement. Ummm ya I don't have much else haha. Oh! we did go to Baguida, another area in our zone, yesterday because Elder Kikwati needed to get the transcript of his patriarchal blessing and I got to talk to Elder Simon for a bit because that's his sector. It was great!

I did start Le Livre de Mormon and I love it! French has a way of making things just simple so if there is something that doesn't make complete sense to me then I translate it and it's like kindergarten english so it's easy to understand haha. That's good that you guys are doing it! It makes me happy to hear that. And if there is something that I have learned being here on my mission it's that when it comes to the scriptures it doesn't matter if someone else has a better ''understanding'' of them because your testimony is yours and yours alone. And that testimony helps people more than you could ever imagine.

It is kinda funny that we do that to ourselves without realizing it. I do that everyday actually because I know that there could have been things so much easier if I would have just done a little thing different. I hope that I can learn from that and continue to grow and bring that into my life even after my mission.

Kinda funny that she got something around that time because since Thrusday I have had a  scratchy throat and cold symptoms. I don't like that you can get a cold in Africa mom... that makes no sense to me. But at least it's not malaria right?? I hope that she feels ever better by today though. It's Thanksgiving Break this week right? Or am I losing it??

Oakley is a good idea... I will join ya if you let me haha. I seriously don't understand how that's a thing anywhere in the world, especially Utah of all places. I take a look at the people here and there is not a single person missing from the roster at church most Sundays. If there is someone sick then they can't make it but for the most part everyone tries their best to get to church.

I don't think that I would want to go to a dinner party with the staff anyways. They have always been like that and just expect everything and yeah.. I'm thankful that I am here this week for sure.

I understand the conveying thing. I tried to send you an email and that well... it was probably awful. So sorry about that. I love you mom and I am so thankful for you and everything that you have done for me. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you and your diligence. I will talk to you later today.

Beaucoup d'amour,
Elder Garcia
