Subject: Happy Saturday
Hey! I say happy Saturday but it is almost Sunday for you.
How has your week been? How are your friends doing this week? How have your goals been going?
This week was good here. The lady in the ward who has the Covid and in
the hospital came home this week. She is still on oxygen but at least
she is home. Did I tell you we aren’t the RC 7 ward anymore? Now we are
the whisper rose ward and it’s sure to change again as things move about
in the boundaries.
Tyler and I escaped to Jackson Hole on Thursday after B went to school.
Grandma came to stay with her and then she is home now just chilling.
Tyler’s brother is blessing their new baby tomorrow in garden city so
instead of getting up early Sunday morning we decided to do a small
getaway. It’s been nice but holy cow cold. Puffy coat, wools socks, and
winter boots the entire time. It has snowed in the mountains all weekend
and rained on us all day. The Tetons have been covered by clouds the
entire time even. It’s a good thing I have seen them or I would be
furious!
We are leaving Jackson tonight and going to bear lake to stay so we can
be to church at 9:30am tomorrow. It is a 3 hour drive and I am already
dreading it. We have been in the car already all weekend so more driving
does not sound fun. We are watching game 2 of the playoffs with the
Braves and then going to head out. The Braves sucked it up last night
and lost 2-1. They didn’t suck….the pitcher did and for some reason Snit
didn’t pull him. Ugh….
Kaden White could use some prayers. He is really struggling and
considering coming home. His Mom is so worried and knows he needs to
stay and finish but she can’t say anything more at this point. Prayers
are going to be needed for sure. Makes my heart hurt for all of them
involved.
How are you feeling with transfers coming up soon? I know you mentioned
you are getting lots of new missionaries and that there is a possibility
of you becoming a trainer. Which is nuts. Right? I have been reading
the BOM and I can’t help but think of the word ‘humble’ as it has played
out this week in my studies. As you get ready to welcome newbies to the
mission and also face the reality of maybe training yourself, remember
to be humble in all the doings. The last thing anyone needs is someone
who is not.
I can’t wait to catch up with you and see how your week has gone. I find
I often wonder what your days look like and what life as a whole ‘looks
like’. I sure am proud of you and all you are doing. Keep up the good
work. I’ve added some pictures from Jackson this weekend. You can almost
feel the cold. I added a fun video of a fox too. Hoping you can watch
it.
I love you for forever.
