Subject: Series 3-2
Well, it’s Saturday night. The Braves are back home and we lead the
series 3-2. We have 1 win to get in the next two days in order to make
it to the World Series. Holy cow..anxiety is real!
How was your week? Your new photos you added were fun to see. I got
Tyler pretty good. He had just gotten home from taking Grayson hunting
up to Bear Lake and he asked what I was doing. I told him you loaded
pictures and that you rode an elephant. He was like ‘that is awesome.
Seriously. I am so jealous.’ So then he came around and saw it and
called me a butt hole. Seriously I was dying laughing!! Thanks for
helping me mess with him. It was fun.
We had Fall Break this week. Brooklyn wanted to go nowhere. Seriously.
Nowhere. I would have been happy to leave town but we stayed home
instead. And it was actually quite nice. She was busy with friends, I
had some things to take care of, and Tyler ended up hunting. We spent
yesterday just doing a girls day (shopping and then renting a chick
flick at home) and loved that. It made my heart ache a lot for the both
of you out on missions pretty heavy. My heart misses you a lot. I miss
having you flit about the house but I wouldn’t want you anywhere else so
it’s a win nonetheless.
Tomorrow starts a week…I have meetings they start early, church, a
possible game 7 (but I’m SO hopeful we win and clinch tonight), and gear
up for back to school. Monday I am dropping cookies off to Kaden Whites
mom for her sons birthday party (he loves vegetables so I made cookies
accordingly), B has a dermatologist appointment, and then I have some
final things to put together for Tuesday. Tuesday is the ward
chili/trunk or treat and somehow the RS is in charge of this so…that
keeps me busy where I sure don’t want to be. Thankfully for the most
part Carrie Stroud is taking the lead. Kaden White is also coming home
Tuesday (
)
so I am taking dinner to his family so they don’t have to fret on that
in addition to receiving a missionary who has called it quits. Makes me
sure grateful for you (& for Kaitlyn too) for recognizing that
although hard and challenging, you continue to persevere and work hard
and along the way I pray you both find joy in this journey. Kaden’s mom
is sure having a hard time as you can imagine. Makes my heart just hurt
for her. There are no words to help alleviate so I just listen. Maybe
you could keep her in your prayers.
Kaitlyn turns 20 this week, Grandmas birthday is the 27th (Wednesday) so
if you think about it a quick email to wish her a happy day would
probably go a long way. Halloween is this weekend already and I really
really wanna be in Atlanta for a game or two of the World Series.
The
weather is going COLD again. More snow due at the cabin and it just
rains and rains at home. I don’t mind rain but it’s the cold temps that I
don’t love so much. I am already ready for summer again. Ha!
Well, I need you to know I love you. You are officially 4 months in and
it feels like just yesterday we were gearing up for the home MTC to
start. Time is flying by. The holiday season opens up this weekend and
it is going to come and go just as quick as it always does and before we
know it Winter will be gone and Summer will be here. And then you will
come up on a year…I’m telling you this time thing is NUTS!!! Thank you
for doing the hard and for making the choice to be where you are. Thank
you for giving your all and for putting the name and work of the Savior
first and foremost each and every single day. The life long blessing and
experiences you will see for forever are going to be countless.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to be chosen as your Mom and more
importantly to be trusted to be your friend. Thanks for letting me come
on this experience with you. I can’t wait to catch up with you on
Monday. I love you for forever.
