Subject: Been a Second...again
Bonjour tout le monde!! Wow, I have been getting really slacking off lately with the weekly. So sorry about that but hopefully this'll make up for it.
So for the last
little bit I think that the biggest highlight was when Presodent and
Sister Proudfoot came and visited us up in Dassa! It was really cool
because we were able to go out to sector with them and visit some of our
amis and the families and new converts. We also had the cool
opportunity to drive down to Cotonou with them, in thier nice
air-conditioned car. We got to have a really nice conversation with them
on the way down as well as eat some "real food." I loved it haha. And
because we were in Cotonou last week I didn't have the time to properly
wrote an email.
This
week was an interesting week. We spent Monday night at Bohicon and I
played soccer for the first time in probably a solid 6 maybe 7 months...
I still can't play but it was nice to run. Buuuuut we also got a
manger-vous so I was very content :)
Tuesday
we did our normal District Council with food afterwards. Elder Meister
and Elder Temenaha came up to Dassa with us so that we could do our
exchanges with them. I worked with Elder Meister, he's from Canada and
has been on the mission for about 6 months but is only on his 1st
transfer here in Afrcia bc he decided that je wanted to start rather
than getting released and waiting for visa and stuff. We went and talked
to some of the amis I had found with Elder Meline the week before on
our exchange and that went alright. There's a lot of children there so
it was hard to get then to focus and because of that the Spirirt kinda
up and left. We continued with the exchange for half of Wednesday snd
then they headed back down to Bohicon to finish out their day.
The
other half of Wednesday Elder Kyungu and I went and visited Sister
Florence and fixed her baptismal date for the 11th of February! Then we
went to a family home evening with the members and some amis.
Thursday
was a day of a lot of contacting and making phone calls with a special
visit from the Assistants to the President as they were headed up to
Parakou. Elder Morgan and Elder Bakajika are some pretty cool dudes.
Friday
and Saturday were days of death for me haha. I got sick and got told to
stay home for the first time in I do not remember how long haha.
Thankfully I am feeling a lot better now but it is really weird that I
got as sick as I did.
Sunday
was a good day at church with a good assistance and we got to see a new
convert bless the sacrament for the first time. And then we got a ride
from the Assistants to Bohicon last night as they were headed back down
to Cotonou.
It's crazy
to me how much time is going by but I am loving my time here! I will try
my best to keep the weeklys coming but I can't promise anything hahah.
I love you all! Have a great week
