Subject: It's Sunday. Again

How are you? How has your week been? Have you and your companion gotten into a good groove of it being just the two of you? You feeling better about the duo instead of the trio? How is it being back full into work in the sector now that you don’t have to share the two between three missionaries?

Things here are good. We spent the first part of the week doing school and getting ready to levee for Mexico. You forget the work it takes to leave town until it states you right in the face.

We did thanksgiving dinner on Sunday with the millers. It was fun. Nice to put the Christmas plates out and do a more formal dinner. I always enjoy that a lot. And the millers were fun to watch experience that too.

We flew to Mexico on Wednesday. It was a quick trip. We had a fast flight to Phoenix, a small layover and then off to Cabo. The lines at customs was much quicker than when we came during spring break and that was good. The drivers in Mexico are SCARY!! Even B was like ‘holy crap!’  But we arrived safe and it’s been nice and sunny since. The girls went parasailing and it was fun. Tyler and I rode on the boat to watch.

We went into ‘town’ and shopped around. Nothing really called our names but B did end up with a serape and she is excited about it. I’m sure she will never wear it but for now, she will take it home and it will be part of the memory. The girls went with Tyler on a snorkeling something. I wasn’t feeling super great so I stayed back and pretty much fried myself. Not to worry…it was brown this morning. Ha! The girls said they saw sting rays through the glass bottom boat, some seals, and so many fish! B doesn’t love when they are all up in her face so she said she swatted a lot of them away.

Today we got up early and went to a baby turtle nursery. The marine biologist who met us there watches for the mommy turtles to come in and lay eggs and then she goes and scoops them up and puts them in the nursery. They need about 45 days and then she releases them into the ocean. Today we got to be the ones who released them. It was pretty cool. They look like big spiders all over the sand though. And holy cow do they STINK!!!

The rest of today will be beach time and naps. We had to catch the shuttle at 6:25am so we are all good and tired. Tomorrow Tyler will go shore fishing while the girls and I will stay here and sleep in and hit the sunshine again.  The weather is about 82 and the wind has a small cool breeze so it is easy to stay on the lounge chair all day. It also helps that we have a flag we can wave when we want something to eat or drink and they bring it right to us. :)

We will all go fishing on Tuesday and then ready ourselves to go home on Wednesday. It is supposed to snow Tuesday and Wednesday at home and we are all already dreading it. I am sure grateful we have the means to run away and find sunshine when it gets cold at home.

Anyways, I hope you have had a good week and that your amis have been able to progress and feel of your testimony of this Gospel. I hope you have been able to see the hand of the Lord in your daily doings as well. I also hope that Sunday brought new enlightenment and happy to your week as you start fresh.

I love you. Hope to be able to talk tomorrow. I am so proud of you.
