Subject: Fall is coming soon

Well, just like that our weather is changing and temps are starting to drop into numbers that are going to mean socks.
This week didn’t have too much going. It was nice to be able to take it easy and spend time at home with Tyler and Brooklyn.
I was supposed to have a couple of appointments at the chiropractor but he got the Covid so he is out until the 20th. It was actually ok though because I had a massage on Thursday that filled in some of the blanks.
Friday at school was flex Friday so there was no school for B. I wanted to go to Oakley, she of course did not so…I asked Tyler if he wanted to come up with me. I needed to wash sheets, mow the lawn, get the fridge and freezer cleaned out, and empty the pantry cupboard thing too. He had some stuff to do but we ended up going up later in the afternoon on Friday.
The colors are changing up the canyon. It rained, no it poured like crazy! It’s chilly cold. Like puffy coat wearing cold. Reed and Lorraine were at Robyn’s so they came over to see the cabin and we had dinner with them before sending them on their way.
Today we got up and got a lot done but not before we had a visitor join us for breakfast. Tyler said ‘Jennifer there is a deer right there’ so I started looking across the river. Well all of a sudden there was a deer head poking itself from the side of the bbq! And she just kept coming in and was like a dog! Came up, let Tyler talk to her and pet her. We tried to feed her but I didn’t have anything she was interested in. It was wild! Anyways, back to maintenance at the cabin …I swear if I am not cleaning at home I am cleaning in Oakley. But it’s nice as the season is changing to get things cleaned and ready for colder weather. We decided before we headed home to run up to the reservoir to see water levels and it was actually much higher than I thought it would be. The rain has filled it pretty good. Even the salmon were out and headed up the stream and they are good size too! Crazy what some weather change can do all around right?
Tonight is the BYU vs Utes game and I am working on a crap ton of laundry here at home. It’s rained again on and off today here so it smells good but it is also chilly. We have lost the 90’ days for sure and the low to mid 80’s is all I see in the forecast. A week from Monday it looks to be super cold with a high in the low 50’s is all!!! I am already dreading that day and it is 8 days from now and weather can change like you know in a blink of an eye. I’m hoping it will stay warm.
How’s things with you? How was this week? What kind of teaching did you get to do and were you able to participate? How is Elder Obeya? Did you find ways to serve him this week? If so, how and did you see a difference in him afterwards? What are the top three things that took place this week for you as a missionary? I can’t wait to hear what those are.
